Let's Talk Babies!

My sweet Anna Banana is 14 months old today. At times she still seems like a baby to me but there are definitely times when there is no question she is quickly becoming a toddler.

Since we are still in corporate housing and I don’t have a scale or a tape measure I have no idea what her current stats are. If I had to guess I would say she probably hasn’t put on much weight since her 12 month check up as she is all over the place every day, I’d guess maybe 19 lbs or so now. She does seem a bit taller to me, but is definitely still my little shorty :)

Anna is still my little sweetheart. She loves to crawl over and give me hugs throughout the day. She also loves to give her daddy and big sister hugs and kisses. I find it hard to find the right words to describe her personality. She is still very observant, she is always taking it all in and you can see her absorbing everything going on around her. I wouldn’t say she is quiet anymore, she definitely has a set of pipes on her and when she wants something she makes sure everyone knows it. That being said she does spend much of her day in quiet play. She concentrates very well and has quite an attention span for a one year old.

You never based on the fact she is so tiny that she has a great appetite but man can the girl eat. Her favorite word is snack and her favorite thing to do is eat :) she is very adventurous when it comes to food and will try just about anything. The other day we had crab and lobster stuffed salmon fillets (yum) and she loved it. She ate at least a dozen bites of mine. Her favorite foods are any kind of fruit and cheese.

She isn’t walking yet but is definitely getting closer every day. She cruises all around the furniture and loves to walk around the apartment pushing her little walking toy. She also loves to hold onto our hands and walk around. Her balance is still lacking but once she gets the balance thing figured out she’ll be off and running.

I love this stage. It is so fun to watch so much learning and development happening right before your eyes. Can’t wait to see what the next months have in store for my baby girl.
