If asked to describe Anna with just one word I would say joyful. If I could use two I would add peaceful. Anna is a very content and very happy baby. She spends much of her day smiling and contently watching what’s going on around her. She smiles so easily. If she sees a face she just can’t help but smile at it, especially if that face is smiling at her. Giggles are a little harder earned, but still happen quite often. It really melts my heart when I walk into a room and she catches a glimpse of me and instantly her face is lit up in a smile. Even in the middle of the night if she happens to get up to eat she is all smiles.
Recently she found a new way to express her enjoyment with life, she learned how to squeal. And, boy, is she proud of this new skill of hers
She pretty much uses the squeal as her primary form of communication (other than the occasional cry). She squeals when she is happy, she squeals when she is chattering with us, she even squeals as a warning to us that she may be getting a little tired and will turn fussy shortly. I love her squeals. Baby squeals are quite possibly one of life’s great sounds
A little sample of the delightful squeals that currently fill our home on a daily basis (excuse my silly voice).
