Let's Talk Babies!

Since Maya was old enough to know what a necklace was and what to do with it she has been subjecting our kitties to what I’m sure they feel is pure torture, playing dress up.  I constantly encounter my cats walking around the house strangely only to discover they are desperately trying to rid themselves of the necklaces my daughter has so lovingly placed around their necks.

Whenever Maya pulls out her costume jewelry and there is a cat in the room you can be guaranteed the cat will be adorned with many necklaces and maybe even a crown in no time at all.  It is so cute.  If it wasn’t so cute to watch her play dress up with the kitties and if they didn’t look so cute (even if a little annoyed) all decked out in fashion’s finest, maybe I’d take pity on them and try to stop her, maybe :)

I mean how cute is this. I especially love the princess ring that has been turned into a perfect, kitty-sized crown.

My favorite is when both cats are in the room and they each end up with 4-5 necklaces around their necks. I wish I had a picture but usually I’m playing referee at that point :)

The cats are starting to wise up a bit and can often be seen stealthily leaving the room at the first sight of the infamous box of costume jewelry.  If you ask me they should consider themselves lucky she hasn’t started trying to put clothes on them…yet.
