Maya is a performer.  She loves dancing, singing, doing somersaults and acting out the scenes of old home movies we’ve made of her.  Put on any music or movie with dancing and singing and she is right there dancing along.  She has a passion for these Disney sing-a-long dvds mostly because it gives her the chance to learn new songs and “sing-a-long” with her favorite Disney characters.  From the very first time she watched the beach party dvd she has been in love with the hula song Pearly Shells.

Perhaps it is the beautiful hula dancers, perhaps it is the lovely luau setting, or perhaps it is the irresistible actions that go with the words that draws her in.  Whatever it is she cannot get enough of this song.  She has had the actions mastered for quite some time now.  It has become a great way to keep her occupied in the car, all I have to do is start singing the song and she starts hula dancing in her carseat.

Recently she started putting the words to the actions.  It is adorable to listen to her little condensed version of the song.  She makes all her stuffed animals sing and act out the song too.
