Time does crazy things once you have a child.  Suddenly things seem to happen a warp speed.  You wake up one morning and realize your child has gone from this:

in the blink of an eye.

The other day Maya had a quick nap with me.  She hasn’t napped with me in ages.  When she was a little baby we used to sometimes nap together so that I could be sure to get a little bit of sleep while she did!!  I had forgotten how much fun it was to cuddle up with her and have a little snooze.

Since Maya is not one to cuddle up and nap with anyone (the other day was a rare treat) now that she is a “big girl” I am glad I have the memories (and the pictures) to remind of what it was like.

Looking back at old pictures and remembering what my little toddler was like as a baby makes smile and reminds me to cherish the times we have now.  Each stage is gone in a flash.
