From birth, Ava was put to bed in her bassinet that was in our room. We swaddled her, sang her a lullaby, kissed her, then put her in the bassinet and walked out the door. She knew it was time to go to sleep. 3 months old, she moved to her crib in her own room, but the routine stayed pretty much the same. I can’t stress the routine part of that enough.
