I would recommend checking with your doctor.  I know the general rule is that if you didn&#039;t run before your pregnancy you shouldn&#039;t take it up when you are pregnant, however, you were a competitive runner before pregnancy so the same rule probably wouldn&#039;t apply to you.  You should always talk to your doctor before you start any sort of exercise routine during pregnancy, so I would do that and see what he/she has to say.

		<description>I have been a competitive runner for 15 years, so planned to do gentle running in this pregnancy (2nd one).  But I was sick for the first 14 weeks and didn&#039;t do anything except lay around and get sick.  Now I feel great, but not sure if it is still safe to run.  I have been doing 2 min run/2 min walk for 20 min, but wondered if I could do any more or build up at all.</description>
